1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Aladin Labs LLC, doing business as Moontask ("Moontask," "we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website at www.moontask.io, access our web application at app.moontask.io, or use any of our related services (collectively, the "Platform").

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which are available on our website and incorporated by reference.

By clicking "Accept All" on our cookie banner, or by continuing to use the Platform after being presented with our cookie notice, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy. You can withdraw or modify your consent at any time using the methods described in Section 6.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

2.1 Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners.

Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies — temporary cookies deleted when you close your browser

  • Persistent cookies — cookies that remain on your device for a set period or until manually deleted

  • First-party cookies — set directly by Moontask

  • Third-party cookies — set by our service providers and partners

2.2 Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use the following tracking technologies:

  • Local Storage and Session Storage — browser-based storage mechanisms used to save data locally on your device, including wallet connection state and user preferences

  • Web Beacons / Pixel Tags — small invisible images embedded in web pages or emails that allow us to measure interactions

  • JavaScript Tags — scripts that collect information about your interactions with our Platform

  • Browser Fingerprinting — a technique that collects device and browser attributes to help with fraud detection and security (not for advertising purposes)

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

Always Active — Cannot be disabled

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as connecting your wallet, logging in, or setting your cookie preferences.

Examples of what these cookies do:

  • Maintain your session when you connect a wallet or log in to the B2B portal

  • Remember your cookie consent preferences

  • Ensure security by preventing cross-site request forgery (CSRF)

  • Enable core platform functionality such as campaign participation and task verification

  • Store your wallet connection state so you remain connected between page loads

Legal basis: These cookies are necessary for the performance of our contract with you and to comply with legal obligations. Consent is not required for these cookies.

3.2 Preference / Functional Cookies

Can be disabled — May affect Platform experience

These cookies allow the Platform to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, personalized features. Disabling them may affect how the Platform functions.

Examples of what these cookies do:

  • Remember your language and display preferences

  • Remember which wallet provider you last used (e.g., Phantom, Solflare)

  • Store your dashboard layout and filter settings

  • Remember whether you have dismissed certain notifications or banners

  • Enable social media integrations (Discord, Twitter/X) to function correctly

Legal basis: Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

3.3 Analytics Cookies

Disabled by default — Enabled only with your consent

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Platform by collecting and reporting information anonymously or in aggregate. This data helps us improve Platform performance, identify issues, and optimize the user experience.

Examples of what these cookies do:

  • Count the number of visitors to each page

  • Track the pages most and least visited

  • Measure how long users spend on different sections of the Platform

  • Identify where users drop off in campaign creation or participation flows

  • Record errors and performance issues to help us fix them faster

We use analytics data to improve the Platform for all users. We do not use analytics cookies to identify individual users for advertising purposes.

Legal basis: Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

3.4 Marketing Cookies

Can be enabled — Your choice

These cookies may be set by our advertising or marketing partners to build a profile of your interests and display relevant content or promotions about Moontask on other platforms. They do not store directly personal information but identify your browser and device.

Important: Moontask does not run advertising campaigns inside our own Platform. These cookies relate only to Moontask's own marketing activities on third-party channels (such as targeted advertising about Moontask on social media or other websites).

Examples of what these cookies do:

  • Allow us to measure the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns

  • Enable us to show Moontask-related content to users who have previously visited our Platform (retargeting)

  • Help us understand which marketing channels drive Platform registrations

Legal basis: Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

5. Third-Party Services and Cookies

Some cookies on the Platform are set by third-party services that we integrate with. We do not control these cookies, and they are governed by the third parties' own privacy and cookie policies. We encourage you to review those policies.

5.1 AWS and Infrastructure Partners

Our Platform is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. AWS may set technical cookies necessary for load balancing, security, and infrastructure management. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.

5.2 Wallet Providers

When you connect a cryptocurrency wallet (such as Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack), those wallet extensions may set their own cookies or use local storage. Moontask does not control these technologies. Please refer to the privacy policy of your wallet provider.

5.3 Social Media Platforms

Our Platform integrates with Discord and Twitter/X for task verification. When you authorize these connections, those platforms may set cookies in your browser. These integrations are governed by Discord's and X Corp's respective privacy policies.

5.4 Analytics Providers

If you consent to analytics cookies, we use third-party analytics tools to better understand Platform usage. These tools process anonymized or pseudonymized data only. We have data processing agreements in place with all analytics providers.

6. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences

6.1 Our Cookie Consent Tool

When you first visit the Moontask website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner that allows you to:

  • Accept all cookies with one click

  • Customize your preferences by category using the "Customize" option

  • Disable non-essential cookies while keeping strictly necessary ones active

You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of our website.

6.2 Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:

  • View and delete cookies already stored on your device

  • Block all cookies from being set

  • Block third-party cookies only

  • Set alerts when cookies are being sent to your device

Please note that blocking all cookies will affect Platform functionality, including wallet connection and session management. The following links provide guidance for major browsers:

  • Google Chrome: chrome://settings/cookies

  • Mozilla Firefox: Preferences > Privacy & Security

  • Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy

  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

6.3 Opt-Out of Analytics

If you have previously consented to analytics cookies and wish to withdraw that consent:

  • Use our Cookie Settings panel to disable analytics cookies

  • Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

  • Visit the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out portal: optout.aboutads.info

6.4 Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. We currently honor DNT signals by treating them as a request to disable non-essential analytics and marketing cookies. Note that DNT is not a universally adopted standard, and some third-party services may not respond to DNT signals.

6.5 Mobile Devices

On mobile devices, you can manage tracking preferences through your device's operating system settings:

  • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking

  • Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads

7. Cookies and Blockchain Data

An important distinction for Web3 platforms: blockchain transaction data is inherently public and immutable. When you connect a wallet to Moontask and participate in campaigns, certain data is recorded on the Solana blockchain. This is not governed by cookie law and cannot be deleted.

We use cookies to help manage your interaction with blockchain-based features — for example, to remember your wallet connection — but the underlying on-chain data exists independently of our cookies.

Our AI verification engine analyzes public on-chain wallet data (transaction history, token holdings, DeFi interactions) as part of our core service. This analysis does not rely on cookies but is governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure is primarily hosted in AWS Europe (Frankfurt, eu-central-1). However, some of our third-party cookie providers (such as analytics and advertising partners) may process data in other jurisdictions, including the United States.

Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or adequacy decisions.

9. Cookie Retention Periods

Cookies are retained for different periods depending on their purpose:

  • Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser

  • Strictly necessary persistent cookies — typically 7 to 30 days

  • Preference and functional cookies — up to 12 months

  • Analytics cookies — up to 13 months

  • Marketing cookies — up to 13 months

At the end of a cookie's retention period, the cookie is automatically deleted from your device. You can also delete cookies manually at any time through your browser settings.

10. Your Rights Under Applicable Privacy Laws

10.1 GDPR (European Economic Area and UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights with respect to cookies and the data they collect:

  • Right to withdraw consent — you can withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time through our Cookie Settings panel

  • Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal data we process about you via cookies

  • Right to erasure — you can request deletion of personal data collected through cookies, where no legal obligation requires retention

  • Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests

  • Right to lodge a complaint — you may contact your national data protection supervisory authority

Our legal basis for processing personal data through cookies is: (a) legitimate interests for strictly necessary cookies, and (b) your consent for all other categories.

10.2 CCPA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect through cookies, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Moontask does not sell personal information collected through cookies. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@moontask.io.

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly set cookies on devices used by minors. If you believe we have inadvertently placed cookies on a minor's device, please contact us at privacy@moontask.io and we will take appropriate action.

12. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technology, legal requirements, or business practices. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Displaying a new consent banner on your next visit to the Platform

  • Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy

  • Posting a notice on the Platform

Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective, and your acceptance of a new cookie consent notice where required, constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
